Before joining Beam Yasmina managed an award-winning graduate recruitment team at a magic circle law firm, and was Co-Chair of a racial equality network. Prior to that Yasmina worked at a leading diversity recruitment organisation which specialised in tech for good, responsible for building the business and looking after clients.
Dr Debbie Weekes-Bernard is London’s Deputy Mayor for Communities and Social Justice.Since taking office, Debbie has made it a priority to ensure London’s diverse communities have a voice in their city. She works to promote social justice and equality for all communities and has been a key player in driving London’s social recovery from Covid-19 and supporting households more impacted by the cost of living. Debbie chairs the Mayor’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory group, as well as London’s Strategic Migration Panel and is co-chair of the Diversity in the Public Realm Commission. She is also a member of the TUC Anti-Racism Taskforce and the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Systemic Inequalities and Social Cohesion.Debbie joined the mayoral team in 2018 from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation where she led the organisation’s work on poverty and ethnicity with additional areas of expertise on labour markets, education, lone parents and young people. Prior to this Debbie worked at the Runnymede Trust as Head of Research, running their work on inclusive curriculum development, education attainment gaps and school exclusion as well as work on community cohesion, race and criminal justice and youth transitions.
Head of Europe Diversity, Equity Inclusion and Accessibility for Prime Video and Amazon Studio
Miranda Wayland is our newly appointed Head of Europe Diversity, Equity Inclusion and Accessibility for Prime Video and Amazon Studio. Her role will help drive our strategic goals and ambitions across the business, working closely with our content creators, executives and our Prime Video teams. Focused on ensuring greater inclusion, representation and accessibility, as well as collaborating with our industry partners and the wider sector for long term industry change. Prior to joining Amazon, Miranda was the Head of Diversity and inclusion, Creative Diversity for the BBC, managing a team of DEI practitioners and the financial investment of £112m for Creative Diversity for content creation and overseeing the implementation of the corporations DEI strategy.
Ifeoma is a Senior Technical Program Manager at Prime Video, Amazon and works with cross-functional teams to deliver exciting features for our customers who use Prime Video on their TVs and living room devices. She was recognised in 2021 by PMI UK as a Wonder Woman and an inspiration to women, and is also a winner of the 2021 TechWomen100 award. Ifeoma is passionate about giving back to the society and sharing her experience to help lift others. As a STEM ambassador she organised various workshops and conferences aimed at encouraging girls and young women into Technology roles, and as a career mentor for Anglia Ruskin University, she has mentored women from under-represented backgrounds towards starting a career in Technology.
Rakiya is a Product Manager at Framestore where she helps to create a range of technical products and services that bring the next generation of VFX to life. Over the years, Rakiya has worked across sectors from Fintech to the Built Environment. She has always been fascinated by the rapidly evolving role of innovation in diffusing new technologies into the global economy. She has a great interest in using technology to solve user/business needs, support ideas and revenue opportunities. Rakiya holds an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Newcastle University and an MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College London. In her free time, Rakiya loves to mentor and volunteer with organisations to foster diversity and inclusion in the technology space.
Tennessee Watt is a Brand Marketing Manager at Google working to inspire marginalized talent to become technologists. She is also the Founder and Director of Tennessee Watt Consulting, a diversity, equity and inclusion firm, where she supports a wide range of organizations to develop authentically inclusive campaigns, create equitable work cultures, identify minoritized suppliers and influencers, and react to trends within Black culture and social media at lightning speed. She holds a Masters degree in Management and Innovation from Imperial College London, and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from BPP University. Tennessee has been featured in Business Insider, PR Week, Campaign Magazine and more.
Tomi has a background in SAP Database and Technology consulting in the commercial sector with a 1st Class Hons in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Nottingham. She is currently a cloud infrastructure consultant at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Professional Services, having leading engagements across UK Healthcare and central government. Tomi has 11 certifications and accreditations, from AWS associate to professional to SCRUM master and has 2 Engineering awards from British Petroleum. She is a senior speaker with an advanced AWS blog post, delivering a number of technical talks on behalf of AWS at events such as DevCon, Black is Tech, CBF, including AWS events. In addition, Tomi also represents AWS at tech events such as London Tech Week, Your Future Your Ambition, Tech Fests and as a subject matter expert at the AWS EMEA Summit. She is part of the DevOps area of depth, a Grace Hopper Scholarship Reviewer, an Amazon Small Business Enterprise and Partnerships Manager for International Women's Day, an AWS mentor, a Coding Black Females’ mentor, and a BEN mentor.
Leke started his coding journey 5years ago, completing a coding bootcamp in London called Makers academy. He then moved on to become an iOS developer after witnessing APple's famous Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). He is passionate about agile software development, clean code and effective team collaboration. When he is not coding you can find him at his beloved CrossFit gym or dancing salsa and bachata.

He has lead teams at Alexa, AWS, Google and Microsoft. Karol combines big thinking, a drive for results, sharp business acumen, understanding of ecosystem success and hands on technical expertise.
With a vast amount of experience in B2B sales, Lewis has worked with companies of all sizes to leverage SaaS solutions, ranging from SMEs to FTSE 100 organisations. With a Psychology degree at the core of his career he has excelled and progressed, and currently manages a sales team at PitchBook Data.
Born and raised in South London, I now live in Clapham with my two rescue tabby cats.I joined Zscaler after 3 years at HackerOne where I moved from SDR to Account Executive. Before that, I was at Varonis and prior to that I was a teacher at a high school in Putney.I'm passionate about self development and aspiring to be the best version of yourself. I also find it incredibly important to give back whether through mentorship or charity work.
I have worked in Tech for 10+ years in various roles, the last 5 years being presales. I am passionate about learning, I love getting stuck into new technologies and understanding how I can help solve business and technical issues. I love the social aspect of my role, meeting new people and forging new relationships. When I am not selling software I am learning about wine, I am a qualified Sommelier and enjoy doing wine tasting in my spare time.
